American Rapper WizDaWizard, an affiliate of Kodak Black’s Sniper Gang label, was found dead in South Florida this past Friday (Sept. 17). According to Miami news outlet, WSVN, the Broward County native’s Wisdom Williams body discovered around 6 a.m. ET on Friday in the front yard of a Hallandale Beach home.

According to the Miami New Times, WizDaWizard’s death is currently under investigation by the Hallandale Beach Police Department, who are working with the medical examiner’s office.

The New Times adds that WizDaWizard, who was 22 years old, was a member of Sniper Gang Records, an affiliate label of Kodak Black’s Black Wall Street. In June 2016, WizDaWizard released a mixtape titled A Day Late & A Dollar Short, while his latest solo effort was released in March 2017.

Wisdom Williams was born in the city of Taverley to a family of magic-users. He was the third son, and his mother named him after a wizard she had heard about. WizDaWizard’s mother, however, was not happy with the name; she thought that it sounded too much like ‘wiz’ or ‘wizard’, which she found to be very unwise for a young boy to have. She wanted her son to have something more ‘manly’ so she gave him the name Kavan, which is French for ‘warrior’.

His father did not approve of this change, and did not approve of his son’s choice of profession, so he had WizDaWizard instructed in the art of brawling.

The young Kavan proved himself quite capable at brawling, and he began to earn a reputation as a fighter. He taught WizDaWizard how to fight with two-handed weapons and how to use two-handed weapons effectively. This was all well and good until WizDaWizard became old enough to start training in magic.

According to friends, rapper Wiz Da Wizard, whose name is Wisdom Williams, the person who found dead by a dog walker. “Officers responded, at which time, we were able to confirm that the individual was deceased,” Hallandale Beach Police Capt. Megan Jones said.

“There was no sign of foul play.”
